What is an Entry?
In a Faceoff, Poll, Quiz or other contest formats, you can submit your own
options/candidates/questions, which can be part of the contest. This is known
as an entry. These can be in the form of images, text or video.
Do I get prize points if I create an entry? How many points do I
get per entry?
You don’t
get any prize points if you create/add an entry, but the fact that you played a
part in making it more fun is what counts. If that doesn’t make you happy
here’s what will - some of our contests also have prizes for the best entry!

Can I delete an entry after creating it?
No,
entries once submitted cannot be deleted as other users vote for or against
these entries and their points depend on it.
Entries
and contests created by users are moderated for the safety and security of the
site. A contest created by a user will be visible on the site immediately after
it's been approved by our moderators.
Can I upload my own videos on the website for any contest?
Yes you
can. In fact you can also add videos directly from YouTube by just entering the
URL of the video.
What
hardware/software or other resources are essential to create an entry?
You’ll
obviously need a PC.
Windows 95 or latest.
Internet Explorer 5 or above OR Mozilla Firefox.
A 266 mhz processor or
better.
32 MB RAM or more.
Macromedia flash player.

How do I tell people about my contest?
Go to the
contest that you have created and then click on the "Share contest"
option. Enter the required details in the pop up window and click on
"Send". Your friend will receive an invitation by email.
Can I edit
my own contest?
Contests
once created cannot be edited. You can, however, add more entries to your
contest whenever you feel like.
Can I pull
down an entry that I don’t like?
No, you
cannot delete an entry that you don’t like.
Can I
create a practice entry?
No, you
can’t create a practice entry but we don’t think you’ll ever need to. Creating
a contest on Contests2win is as simple as a walk in the park.
Will I
be informed by email when an entry has been added to my contest or when my
contest goes live?
Yes, you
will certainly be informed via email as soon as your contest goes live.
Can
others add entries to my contest?
Others can
add entries to your contest only if you want them to. You have to specify this
while creating your contest. The interface has an option to allow this or not.
What is a Poll?
A Poll is
an opinion based contest format with no wrong or right answers. You score
points if your opinion matches the opinion of majority of the users who have
taken the poll.
What is
a Quiz?
A Quiz is
a contest format where a user must select the correct answer to the questions
asked from the given options. The player scores points for each correct answer.
What is a
Faceoff?
A Faceoff
is a contest format where a voter chooses between the better of two entries
until the contests2win system can determine the voter's ranked list of choices
for the contest. You score points if you pick the Faceoff candidate/ entry that has received more votes than the other.
What is a Hangman?
A Hangman is a contest format where you have to get the answer
by guessing one alphabet at a time. If the player gets the alphabet right, then
the letter appears in the respective empty blank. If the player gets the guess
wrong, s/he loses a chance. The player gets 7 guesses. Each completely correct
answer scores 7 points.
What is a Rate Me?
A Rate Me is a contest format wherein you can to rate
entries on a scale of 1-10. The player does not score any points in this
format.
What is a Crossword?
A Crossword is a contest format based on the classic word
puzzle bearing the same name. Users have to answer and fill in words in the
crossword based on cryptic clues which have been provided. A user scores a
point for every correct answer.
What is a Twister?
A Twister is a contest format wherein the player must rearrange scrambled letters by guessing the word correctly. The player is rewarded with a point if s/he gets the answer right.
What is a Personality Test?
Personality Tests are fun tests that try and describe what kind of person you are, in many different ways. There are mostly no right or wrong answers. Just answer the questions by choosing the options that apply to you and discover silly little things about yourself that you may not have known.
What is a
Tag?
A ‘Tag’ is
a keyword that helps a person search for your contest easily on the website.
E.g. actors, cricket, etc

Community
is the list of all the Contests2win users. It's also a place where all of
Contests2win's best contest creators, top players and winners get their piece
of glory.
What’s Score?
Score is a
number that judges a user’s performance in a particular contest. Scores are
displayed for every contest, unlike Prize points, which are only won on certain
contests.
What
are Prize Points?
Prize
points are points that are earned when a user plays selected contests (contests
with Prize Points) for the first time, unlike a score which is universal to all
contests. These Prize Points can later be redeemed for cool prizes on our prize
section.
Can I
play without logging in? Will I still earn points?
You can
play, but you can’t earn points. Make sure you're signed in when you're playing
so that our system can track your progress and credit points to your account.

Can I
create a contest without logging in?
No. You have to
log in if you want to create a contest.
How many
times can I play a particular contest? Do I get Prize Points every time I play?
You can
play a particular contest as many times as you want to but you only earn Prize
Points for your first attempt at the contest.
How do I
change my password?
You can change your password by clicking on "My Profile" then clicking the "Change Password" option under ACCOUNT.
What happens
if I forget my username or password?
Click on
"Forgot Password" & enter your email address. Your password will
be sent to the email address provided by you.
How do I vote
for a contest?
You can vote for
or vote against a contest by simply clicking on the "Thumbs Up" or
the "Thumbs Down" sign respectively.
Can I bookmark
a contest as "favourite"?
Yes you can.
Simply click on the ‘Heart’ icon near the contest & it will be added to
your favourites.
Is all the
information in my account safe?
Yes, your
information is completely secure with us & we shall not share it with
anyone.
Can I
play a contest whose duration has expired?
Yes you
can play a contest whose duration has expired. However you will not be awarded
any points for doing so.

Sometimes the

This could be due
to a connectivity problem or a problem with the browser you are using. In such
instances, ‘Refresh’ the page or try connecting to the website again.
Score / Prize Points
What
is a Score?
A
score is a number that judges a user’s performance in a particular contest.
Scores are displayed for every contest, unlike Prize points, which are only won
on certain contests.
What
are Prize Points?
Prize
points are points that are earned when a user plays selected contests for the
first time, unlike a score which is universal to all contests. These Prize
Points can later be redeemed for prizes.
Is there negative marking? If yes then is it applicable to all
contests?
No.
Currently we do not have negative marking for any contest.
How
do I redeem my Prize Points?
You
can redeem your Prize Points by going to the ‘Prizes’ section, clicking on the
prize that you desire, then click on the ‘Redeem Now’ link that is present at
the bottom of the window. If you qualify to redeem the prize i.e. possess the
required amount in Prize Points, click on the ‘Redeem Now’ button at the bottom
of the page. Proceed to fill the entire form & enter your ‘Password’ to
confirm the redemption.
Where
can I view my Prize Points?
You
can view your Prize Points earned by visiting your profile page.
How
do I join the new Contests2Win? Will my old Contests2win id work? Will my
points get transferred?
You
need to ‘Sign up’ to join Contests2win. But, if you already have a previous
Contests2win id, you can get it transferred along with your points to the new
Contests2win.
How
will I know if I have won? How long will you take to announce the results of a
contest?
At the
end of each contest, winners will be declared. These winners will be informed
via email or phone & their names will also be displayed on the website.
How do you
search for people on Contests2win?
We have created a
whole new section where Contests2win where users can interact with each other.
Look under the “Community” tab, your search ends there.
Can I invite
my friends to play a particular contest?
Yes you
definitely can. All you have to do is go to the contest you want to share with
your friend and click on "Share contest". Enter the requisite details
in the pop-up window that appears and your friend will receive an email invite
from us.
What are Odds?
Odds indicate the number of points you will win in return for each point you bet if your prediction comes true. Odds in the game may vary while the betting is open, depending on other users' bets.
What are Payouts?
Payout is the final number of points you will be returned if your prediction comes true. The payout you win will be credited to your account within 24 hours after the results are declared. For e.g. If the odds on your bet is 2.5 and you bet 100 points, you will get back 250 points (100x2.5) in return if you win.
